I've been looking for a "meaningful" book to read with my 4-year-old. This isn't just a cute story; we talk about why friends might get mad, how people can make a difference even when they think they're not influential. I'm hoping we read this for many years to come.
We used this book as an inspiration for our spring break camp. The contrast of a world with and without colors, a conflict between friends, and the cooperation between the team members are plenty material to work with children in a classroom setting. The illustrations are simple, child appropriate and well expressed. Really cool book.
